Train the Trainer (TTT) Course
Introduction
The TRAIN THE TRAINER COURSE (TTT) provides participants to knowledge, skills and rightful attitude in making their training course an effective. The participants will be given the opportunity to understand, practice, explore and perform that must be made to enhance their training expertise in accordance to current time. During the training sessions, participants are required to generate new ideas and strategies to improve their training skills to become HRDF Certified Trainer!
Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP)
An important element of any system for the prevention of major accidents is conducting a hazard and operability study (HAZOP) at the detail design stage, of the plant in general and the operating and safety control system in particular. HAZOPs seek to minimise the effect of a typical situation in the operation / process by ensuring that control and other safety systems such as functional safety (e.g. emergency safe shutdown) are in place and work with a high level of reliability to achieve a safe outcome from a situation that could have resulted in a major accident. The HAZOP process is used to identify potential hazards and operational problems in terms of plant design and human error. The technique is applied during final design of the process and plant items before commencement of construction.
Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Management Overview
• A standard to justify status and as a basis for the inspection of facilities, such as manufacture, importers and wholesalers.
• The procedures should include the management of personnel, premises, facilities and adequate documentary procedures that preserve the safety and quality of the material or product.
• The GDP need to be considered in the storage, transportation and distribution of any registered product.
• The GDP also require that materials and products or cosmetics classified as dangerous drugs, scheduled poisons and psychotropic substances, under the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 (Revised 1980), Poison Act 1952 (Revised 1989), Poison (Psychotropic Substances) Regulation 1989 and the Control of Drugs and Cosmetics Regulation 1984 (Revised 2009), are stored and distributed in accordance with the requirements of the respective acts and Regulation.

[SUBJECT: MERCURY SPILL RESPONSE]

1. Evacuate & Barricade the Spill Area
• Barricade the spill area & remove everyone from the area that has been contaminated by barricade tape (AWAS-DILARANG MASUK)
• Shut the door. Turn off interior ventilation system (such as Air-Con) to avoid dispersing mercury vapour throughout the Air-Con. pipe facility to others office area.
• Open the window to ventilate the mercury vapour.
• On the blower if necessary.
• Keep the affected area ventilated to the outside (open windows and ventilation running and on the blower) for at least 24 hours after your successful cleanup.

2. Wear face mask & hand glove
• In order to prevent breathing of mercury vapour, wear a protective carbon-activated face mask
• Wear protective hand glove & apron when perform cleaning
3. Put on old clothes
• Dispose old clothes and shoes if they become contaminated.
• Put the contaminated into Scheduled Wasted Bin( SW 104)

4. Disposal
• Place all broken objects on a paper towel.
• Fold the paper towel into a bag with cable tie.
• If the Carpet, curtains or other such surfaces were contaminated, that items should be thrown away into SW 104 Bin.
• Small and hard-to-see mercury beads can be located with the flashlight.
• Darkened the spill area’s room and look for additional glistening (by flashlight) beads of mercury that may be sticking to the surface
• Mercury beads (biji)can move a surprisingly long distance on hard and flat surfaces.
• Put all disposed items into plastic bag, seal and label under SW 104 Bin.
5. Report
• Prepare a report to be documented.

Note: Do not use a vacuum cleaner to clean up a mercury spill. Otherwise you may dispose the vacuum into SW 104 Bin

A = Anchorage
Selection of the anchorage point should be to a minimum rating of 15kN, regardless of the work application. Note: The MSA range of anchorages are all rated to a minimum of 15kN but in most products to 22kN which allows 1 or 2 persons to be attached the same anchor.

B = Body Support
Full Body or lower body harness, general height work, work positioning / suspension, confined space applications. You must select the harness applicable to your work application. Note: MSA does not recommend a lower body harness for use in industrial fall protection applications.

C = Connection Means
What is needed between the anchorage and harness?
As a minimum, a lanyard assembly (shock absorbing lanyard). Possible configurations are;
 Fixed Length Lanyards
 Adjustable Lanyard
 Tie back lanyard
 Twin-tail lanyard
All available in 11mm Kernmantle Rope, 22mm webbing or PVC covered stainless steel wire rope.
Also available is the MSA range of self retracting lanyards, both webbing and wire rope.

R = Rescue
Typically the forgotten term in a PPE selection plan. Suspension trauma can occur in as little as
5 minutes after a person has fallen in a harness. Do not rely on local rescue authorities to be on site within 5 minutes. MSA has a range of simple to use rescue products to assist you in performing a quick, safe and successful rescue. Consult your MSA specialist for advice on all of the above.
